We’ve been thinking of\u00a0 moving to Word Press from our old blogspot<\/em><\/strong><\/a> format as many have said\u00a0how much more user friendly\u00a0it is. So here we are.\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Nothing ventured nothing gained. <\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

Rational Nation U<\/span>S<\/span>A\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em>hopes that\u00a0with a move a fresh start will follow. Honest constructive discussion\u00a0about honest differences in views is healthy and encouraged. After all isn’t that how once compromise occurs things move forward? \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the election of Donald J. Trump to the presidency the acrimony between conservatives and liberals have reached a level seldom if ever seen in the last 77 years.\u00a0 With so much,\u00a0for the lack of a better word, malevolence it is unlikely common ground can be found.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the hope of this site that discussion aimed at finding a mutual understanding and some common ground can be found. We believe it possible if labels and extreme partisanship is left at the door.<\/p>\n

You will not be welcome if your purpose\u00a0is to attempt to derail discussion on the topic of the post, disrupt, demean, or impugn the reputation of another commenter.\u00a0All such comments Will Be Deleted Immediately Upon Detection. <\/strong><\/em>Respectful animated disagreement that is\u00a0relative post content is fine. On another note, intended to be informative and set the record straight. This site,\u00a0as a \u00a0result of the extreme rightward shift in the republican party\u00a0over the last 17 years has moved left. Distancing itself from the extreme and often dishonest agenda was necessary \u00a0to preserve sanity.<\/p>\n
