The Journal goes even farther and says Trump \u201cwarmly\u201d greeted the Russian ambassador:<\/p>\n<p>Skip<\/p>\n<p>Trump and his aides have repeatedly denied that anyone on Trump\u2019s team, including Trump himself, had any contacts with Russian officials during the presidential campaign. Yet\u00a0we continue to find\u00a0out, drip by drip, that those denials were\u00a0wrong.<\/p>\n<p>But according to Newsmax, in an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/Newsfront\/Vladimir-Putin-Russia-Trump-Relations\/2016\/05\/14\/id\/728839\/\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">article titled \u201cPutin \u2018Pleased\u2019 With Trump,\u201d<\/span><\/u><\/a> Kislyak didn\u2019t simply attend Trump\u2019s big foreign policy speech, the Russian ambassador also attended a VIP reception that day at\u00a0which he met Trump.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And then there&#8217;s this:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p id=\"b1c9\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--figure\">On Tuesday, Exxon <a class=\"markup--anchor markup--p-anchor\" href=\"http:\/\/news.exxonmobil.com\/press-release\/exxonmobil-plans-investments-20-billion-expand-manufacturing-us-gulf-region\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-href=\"http:\/\/news.exxonmobil.com\/press-release\/exxonmobil-plans-investments-20-billion-expand-manufacturing-us-gulf-region\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">announced<\/span><\/u><\/a> that it will spend $20 billion over the course of a decade at 11 proposed and existing refining and chemical manufacturing sites. In the process, the company anticipates adding more than 45,000 jobs.<\/p>\n<p id=\"9f51\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">President Trump wasted no time in taking credit, even <a class=\"markup--anchor markup--p-anchor\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/the-press-office\/2017\/03\/06\/president-trump-congratulates-exxon-mobil-job-creating-investment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/the-press-office\/2017\/03\/06\/president-trump-congratulates-exxon-mobil-job-creating-investment\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">releasing a statement<\/span><\/u><\/a> the same hour that copied many of Exxon\u2019s own sentences and an entire paragraph word for word.<\/p>\n<p id=\"bc78\" class=\"graf graf--p graf--startsWithDoubleQuote graf-after--p\">\u201cPresident Trump made a promise to bring back jobs to America,\u201d the White House statement said. \u201cThe spirit of optimism sweeping the country is already boosting job growth, and it is only the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"70b6\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">In a Facebook video, Trump went further to take credit for the announcement. \u201cThis is something that was done to a large extent because of our policies and the policies of this new administration,\u201d he said. \u201cI said we\u2019re bringing back jobs, this is one big example of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"6d1b\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--figure\">But Exxon itself said in its release that this isn\u2019t really new. The investments it announced on Tuesday were begun in 2013 and will continue through at least 2022, beginning before and extending past Trump\u2019s current term in office. Many of them <a class=\"markup--anchor markup--p-anchor\" href=\"http:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/business\/article\/Trump-takes-credit-for-Exxon-jobs-projects-10981685.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-href=\"http:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/business\/article\/Trump-takes-credit-for-Exxon-jobs-projects-10981685.php\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">were announced and even in process<\/span><\/u><\/a> before the election: one in 2012, two in 2014, and one last year; the most recent one in Corpus Christi, TX, was announced in July.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0cd6\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">At least one of them, a lubricant plant in Baton Rouge, LA, is already completed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">It is becoming increasingly clear that Donald J.
