Just as he does in the less educated areas of America among those who are heavily influenced by hyperbole and alternative facts. \u00a0Those who prefer not to take the time to educate themselves so they <strong>FULLY<\/strong> understand what is <strong>REALLY<\/strong><b> <\/b>\u00a0in their own best self-interest.<\/p>\n<p>Gallup has Trump&#8217;s approval rating at 36% as of this weekend. Let that sink in for a moment&#8230; &#8230; This means that 64% of Americas either disapprove of Trump&#8217;s performance after 67 days in office, or, they are at least concerned enough not to give him a positive rating.<\/p>\n<p>Heretofore no modern president has garnered such dismal approval ratings this early in their administration. Given Trump&#8217;s spectacular failing on healthcare insurance reform, and the likelihood his foray into tax reform will be met with strident opposition, his approval numbers my very well experience further descent into the abyss.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, from our POV, is approval numbers are well EARNED.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/opinion\/polling-matters\/207416\/trump-approval-rating-drops-new-low.aspx\"><strong>GALLUP<\/strong><\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>President Donald Trump&#8217;s job approval rating fell to 36% for the three-day period of March 24-26, following Republican House leaders&#8217; failed effort to pass a new healthcare bill that would have replaced the Affordable Care Act.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s three-day reading prior to Friday&#8217;s events was 41%. His <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/201617\/gallup-daily-trump-job-approval.aspx\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">previous low point<\/span><\/u><\/a> was 37%, recorded March 16-18. His <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/201617\/gallup-daily-trump-job-approval.aspx\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">highest reading<\/span><\/u><\/a> was 46% in the week following his Jan. 20 inauguration, and he has averaged 42% for his term to date.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s current 36% is two percentage points below Barack Obama&#8217;s low point of 38%, recorded in 2011 and 2014. Trump has also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/interactives\/185273\/presidential-job-approval-center.aspx?g_source=WWWV7HP&amp;g_medium=topic&amp;g_campaign=tiles\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">edged below<\/span><\/u><\/a> Bill Clinton&#8217;s all-time low of 37%, recorded in the summer of 1993, his first year in office, as well as Gerald Ford&#8217;s 37% low point in January and March 1975. John F. Kennedy&#8217;s lowest approval rating was 56%; Dwight Eisenhower&#8217;s was 48%.<\/p>\n<p>Presidents George W. Bush (lowest approval rating: 25%), George H.W. Bush (29%), Ronald Reagan (35%), Jimmy Carter (28%), Richard Nixon (24%), Lyndon Johnson (35%) and Harry Truman (22%) all had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/interactives\/185273\/presidential-job-approval-center.aspx?g_source=WWWV7HP&amp;g_medium=topic&amp;g_campaign=tiles\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">job approval ratings<\/span><\/u><\/a> lower than 36% at least once during their administrations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/interactives\/185273\/presidential-job-approval-center.aspx?g_source=WWWV7HP&amp;g_medium=topic&amp;g_campaign=tiles\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">Presidential job approval ratings<\/span><\/u><\/a> are fluid, and all presidents have seen both upward and downward swings in their ratings at various points in their administrations &#8212; a historical precedent indicating Trump&#8217;s approval could drop further or recover in the weeks and months ahead. An encouraging sign for Trump, perhaps, is that all presidents whose ratings fell below 36% &#8212; with the exception of Nixon &#8212; saw their ratings improve thereafter. Clinton provides a particularly relevant example.
