Their primary goals are to strip regulation on business and reduce tax responsibilities on the wealthiest of Americans.<\/p>\n<p>They must certainly be pleased with &#8220;brother&#8221; Trump.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><u><strong>The Intercept &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>IF THE\u00a0BILLIONAIRE<\/u> Koch brothers\u00a0turn to the White House for favors, they will see many familiar faces.<\/p>\n<p>Newly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/04\/02\/us\/politics\/trump-aides-disclosures-reveal-explosion-in-lucrative-political-work.html?_r=0\">disclosed<\/a> ethics forms reveal that a significant number of senior Trump staffers were previously employed by the sprawling network of hard-right and libertarian advocacy groups financed and controlled by Charles and David Koch, the conservative\u00a0duo hyper-focused on entrenching Republican power, eliminating taxes, and slashing environmental and labor regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the relationships were well-known. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/3534474-Short-Marc.html\">Marc Short<\/a>, for instance, now Trump\u2019s chief liaison to Congress, previously led Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, the dark money nonprofit\u00a0used by the Koch brothers and their donor cohort to dispense money to allied groups. Freedom Partners, which maintains an affiliate Super PAC, was at the center of the Kochs\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.politico.com\/story\/2015\/10\/koch-brothers-spending-2016-charles-david-215039\">$750 million<\/a> election effort during the campaign last year.<\/p>\n<p>But the ethics forms, made available to the public on Friday evening, reveal a number of previously undisclosed financial ties between the Koch network and Trump\u2019s inner circle of political aides.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/3534475-McGahn-Donald-F.html\">Donald McGahn<\/a>, Trump\u2019s campaign attorney turned White House counsel, provided legal services to a range of outside Koch groups working to influence the election. McGahn, through the law firm Jones Day, advised Freedom Partners, as well as i360, the Koch\u2019s big data firm set up to identify and target voters, and Americans for Prosperity, the election advocacy and grassroots lobbying organization run by the Koch brothers.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/3535234-Donaldson-Ann.html\">Ann Donaldson<\/a>, McGahn\u2019s chief of staff, came to the White House from McGahn\u2019s law firm. Her financial disclosure shows that she also provided legal services to Freedom Partners and i360.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/3534476-Conway-Kellyanne.html\">Kellyanne Conway<\/a>, Trump\u2019s former campaign manager turned close White House advisor, consulted over the last year for Americans for Prosperity\u2019s national foundation, as well as for the Michigan and Ohio chapters of the group.
